Good morning Tex,
Oh my I'm so sorry that you had to go through all of that just from them darn antibiotics..
Thank you so much for sharing your unfortunate experiences with the different antibiotics as it greatly helps in my decision even though I'm even more scared now lol.. take them and i risk a flare of some degree.. don't take them and I guess there is serious consequences as dentist mentioned death. can't win and it is always something with me..
I hurt my foot at work at the end of May and I'll now be going back in a few days on light duty but it will be a totally different work shift... 7-3:30 AM instead of 2nd shift.. I was on such a good bathroom routine along with diet that had me on basically a clock work 8am waste removal.. Now that along with the taking of an antibiotic if i choose to has me really nervous I'll have an accident in the pants as there is no bathroom access without walking a good distance and having to take elevators or stairs. And with a bad foot still I can't make a mad dash..
I did take z-pack (without GI reactions that i recall) back in the fall for an expected sinus infection but i think that was just the root canal tooth that was infected causing the headache that the walk in clinic diagnosed as sinus infection. Maybe that would be my best try in this situation? Just don't know if the dentist will agree with that choice for mouth infection
Ugh wish I could just go at the infection all natural but the dentist has me scared poopless and now reading that you had to take a couple regimens for root canal work and I know you said you have a good immune system and don't normally have to take antibiotics really has me thinking I need to take them.
He (me assuming by what was going on in my mouth) repacked the old root canal work that was falling out because i didn't have the work on it finished because my off days coincided with their closed days.. Does it sound like my infection is in the old dead tooth area? in the gum maybe? Could He of packed the infection in when filled root canal in? so many questions I should have asked there but he seemed in a hurry to just right the script and that's all and i was kinna out of it because the thought of taking antibiotics had my tongue tied up.
My mouth feels better than yesterday and I have been gargling with salt water but no zinc as I have none and I dont really know how I incorporate that in with the salt and I don't really feel like playing dr google at this time in the AM to just really get my nerves reved up to start the day. Think I'll just lay back down for an hr to slow and calm down as its not doing any good to stress the body out.. I just am a naturally nervous nelli person and that's not good with GI problems.
Thanks all for letting me ramble! I know what I should do and I know I'm wrong to be asking what to do when I guess their is serious consequence if I don't follow dentist prescription order.. It just helps incredibly to read what others with the same MC diagnosis try in these and other situations to try and get through with the least GI complications. I know we're all different but we can still learn, share, and can compare notes from each other.
Again I really appreciate the support and I don't know what I would do without all of you (hugs)
Have a great morning and day all - my ears and eyes are open if anybody would like to add to this thread.
