My med history is as follows:
At diagnosis (2004) I was prescribed Prednisone (to be short term) and Asacol (400mg tabs - 6 per day). I had trouble coming off Pred due to fever and body aches. Ended up staying on it for 3 months. Gained a whole bunch of weight (my picture is Pre-Pred). Finally told doc I'm coming off.... period.

He then had me taper down on Pred and add (gradually) Entocort. No side effects that I remember. I was on Entocort for 3 months (including the tapering up & then down period). Remained on the same dose of Asacol.

Have maintained on Asacol ever since but about 3 years ago I cut the dose to 4 tabs a day. My stools vary in consistancy but rarely have D or nausea (nausea and vomiting along with the D was a big problem before diagnosis).
