Cara copied a post from her board, that pointed out that Dr. Fine's work has been accepted for publication. It's here, (way down the page):

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
Mornin' Tex!
No, I missed that. WOW - it sounds like a step in the right direction. However, "submitted" and "accepted" are two different things. He could still be stonewalled. Also, it matters to the traditional medical community WHICH journal accepts it. If it's a venerable one, like JAMA or NEJM, he would be taken more seriously than if it were published in, for example, an alternative journal. I hate to be so cynical, and you know I will be the first one to get out the trumpets and champagne when he is published.
But we can always hope.....

Blessed are they who can laugh at themselves, for they shall never cease to be amused.
As Rosanne Rosanadana would have said, "Never mind!"
Obviously, one of the benefits of a medical degree is that it teaches one to pay attention to the facts at hand, rather than daydreaming all the time.
