Polly, I Found That Old Post About The Sample That Exploded

Post by tex »

Hi Polly,

If I remember correctly, you mentioned this "exploding stool sample" incident to someone, recently. While trying to track down food intolerance test results, for a new compiled list I'm trying to put together, (to make it easier to look up someone's test results), I happened to stumble across it, so I thought it might be a good time to resurrect it, in case anyone is interested in the "gory" details. I think this clearly illustrates why stool samples should always be kept refrigerated or frozen.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.

Good detective work, my friend! Yes, refrigeration has its advantages!

I know it probably wasn't funny to Wendy at the time, but it really made me laugh to read about it again! I wonder how Wendy is doing......

Love,

Polly
Blessed are they who can laugh at themselves, for they shall never cease to be amused.

I wonder too. According to her profile statistics, it's been over two years since she last logged in, (Feb. 7, 2007).
