Between Graduations of God-Children, 25th Wedding Anniversary for my oldest daughter and son-in-law and last but not least a death in our family I've been quite punky.
Shortly after I joined the PP I posted about my cousin; Celie who is diabetic, was on dialisis every other day for her kidney failure and had to have one of her legs apputated up to the hip.
On Saturday, July 11th even though she fought like a true soldier God decided that 'enough was enough' and took her home with Him.
On Tuesday afternoon my whole world was turned up side down and I truly feel violated and am so very angry.
Celie is my Mother's God-Child and she is burried next to my Mother in Indianfields Township Cemetary in Caro, Michigan.
You can imagine my horror when on Tuesday as I went to the graveside services for Celie that I found the Grotto with Mary facing sideways on my Mothers grave. This has been on my Mothers grave behind her head stone for 14 1/2 years without any problems.
The Indianfields Township Cemetary picks up convicted persons who need to do community service to pay off their fines and fees. I am all 'for' community service but where was the supervision when my cousins grave was dug and why in God's name would they have to uproot the grotto and leave the concrete base in chunks? They put the grotto back on my Mother's grave by wedging pieces of damaged concrete in between her head stone and the grotto and wedging more pieces in the back between the sod and grotto. To my amazement they had tried to repair their handy work but when they placed the grotto back on the grave site they put it on backwards!@#%&? Believe me when I tell you it took every ounce of energy I had on Tuesday not to make a scene and collapse.
David has left several messages to Indianfields Township Cemetary and we are at this time waiting to hear from them and what they are intending to do to 'right' the mess they have created.
So sorry to vent my feelings but venting was better than keeping my feelings inside because since Tuesday the bathroom has once again become my best friend and I hate the fact that my stress level has caused me to flare.
Love and God Bless all of You:
Jodi

May God and All His Angels, watchover, protect and guide you "One Day At A Time".
Jodi, I am so very sorry to hear the sad news. My sincere condolences on the death of your cousin, Celie.
I also am sorry to hear about the grotto and pray that it can be fixed to be just like it was originally.
I thought this was posted yesterday but maybe I clicked the wrong thing when I added the emoticons. I just don't know........

Jodi,
I'm sorry to hear of all the "happenings". I hope that the Cemetery will do what's right, to correct the situation. Most likely, the employees didn't report what happened, and the administration may be trying to track down the details, before sending a response.
It's always something, isn't it.
Love,
Tex
