Hi Barbara,

Sorry for the delay - I went to the grocery store before posting. I hope you won't "box my ears" because of that delay. I just finished posting about the doctor visit in the original thread, so I won't repeat it here, ('cause I don't remember everything I said there, anyway).

I have a question for you though - "can you feel heat or cold in your mouth?" I can't taste, or feel any heat or cold, on the right side of my mouth, but the left side of my mouth is normal, and I can sense everything, there. The right half of my lips, gums, and tongue are numb, and don't feel anything, but the left half is normal. Weird huh? Also, my right nostril is numb, but the left one is normal.  My sense of smell seems to be suppressed in both nostrils, but I can smell a little, in either one.

I thought you might get a kick out of that. I'm not exaggerating - my tongue seems to be divided right down the middle. The right side senses nothing, and the left side is pretty much normal, as far as I can tell.

Yep, I'm thinking *ummmm*, too. As long as nothing is definitely ruled out, we have to keep an eye on all the possibilities. That's for sure.

Joan,

Unfortunately, I can't say that I'm any better this morning. I feel tireder, (is that a word?), than I did before I went to bed last night.

I agree with Barbara. This sounds like something that needs to be gotten to the bottom of now. Tireder as a word is just fine. Please go see somebody. We are a bunch of worry wart mother hens.

Hi you two,

I guess I should have waited longer to post. I feel a lot better now, and I have good energy. For a couple of days there, I didn't get much sleep, so it's probably no wonder that I feel tired in the morning. It always does take me a while to get going in the morning - I'm just not a morning person, (I used to be, but I'm not any more).

My symptoms are better now, too, than they were when I first posted this morning. I just ate dinner/lunch, and I noticed that my sense of taste has about half-recovered on my right side. My lip sort of feels as though it's "waking up" now, too. I can feel cold on the right side of my lip, now. (I'm eatng a frozen banana for desert, so that makes it easy to tell). Things are lookin' up. It just takes a little more time, sometimes.

My doctor would probably just tell me that it's natural to feel tired in the morning, as I get older.

Thanks for your concern, though. I truly appreciate it, but I think I'm coming along OK.

Love,
Tex

Tex glad to hear your feeling a little better. HOpe all will be good from now and you will be feeling your usual self soon. I Used to be great in the morning but now I'm toiling to get out of bed. Have to say I wake up tired too and have no energy, it's really frustrating cos my brain just doesn't work. Has your doc said what it might be? Thinking you might be worn out with all us pp members sucking your brain LOL..

Angy,

 No, I didn't think to ask him about that, while I was there. I don't believe that's the reason, anyway. LOL. It's probably just long-term lack of sleep.

So do you feel tired all day, or just early in the mornings? I usually do pretty good, the rest of the day. It's already almost bedtime in Scotland, by now, though, so you're probably getting ready to :countsheep: pretty soon.
