Hydrangea root / halofuginone for autoimmune disorders

Hi all,

Has anyone had any experience or do you have any knowledge of this ancient Chinese herb? I read about some research on it's active ingredient, halofuginone for use in treating autoimmune disorders, but unfortunately, since this is in the public domain, there's no way any companies can get patents if they do research on it. I hope that perhaps some sort of other funding might become available as it really sounds promising.
