Whay!!!

Hi friends!

We just lost our private hospital to the hospital district -- see front page of Houston Chronicle for Friday, August 7.

I am so disappointed! I really feel like a displaced person! So many things that are important to us will be gone now, and we were thinking we might have to take Mother to outpatient in order to have enough people to get her on an exam table (she's paralyzed and fragile) for an internal exam to see what's making her bleed. It was bad enough having to think about that, and now, we'll be going somewhere where we know no one for something so potentially life altering for Mother.

Oh well, we'll get through this like everything else!

Morning Lucy,

So sorry to hear that but unfortunately, if what is in the pipeline passes we seniors might have a difficult time getting healthcare and I think we will see more hospital closures. Sure hope the new place can give the quality and attention to her care that you have been receiving.
