I thought "how about that" when I saw you mentioned it in another post.

Yes it is too bad, it was a forgotten war, I had a couple uncles in it too.

My husband tells me about how when the Midway was leaving the harbor, crud was it San Francisco, or San Diego, he is still sleeping or I'd ask him, but any, no I am sure he said they were going under the Bay Bridge on their way out to sea and war protestors were standing on the bridge spitting on them and throwing things. No matter what people thought about the war, it was not the poor guys on the ships who should have been treated like that.

My husband ran the elevators that took the fighter jets up to the flight deck.
