I've had you on my mind and since you aren't one to gripe, whine, and you always take care of everybody else, I wanted to check in on you!
Update, please...

Hi Dee,

I've had a few cruddy days of not really being sick, but not feeling well, either. I think it was mostly due to not getting enough sleep, for several days in a row, but I've also been kind of bloated, and achy, and not sure why. I got more sleep last night, and today I'm feeling pretty good.

I have to say that the rasagiline is really helping with the Parkinson's symptoms. My balance is much better, I don't have as much stiffness in my fingers, (which I previously thought was due to arthritis), and my coordination seems to be much better, (I rarely drop things, knock things over, etc., now - it was getting to be a problem, before I started the treatment). The downside is that it's more difficult to get to sleep, and stay asleep, now, but that could be due to the Parkinson's, rather than the rasagiline. And, I seem to dream almost constantly, once I get to sleep. I'm sure that's due to the drug, since it's a labeled side effect, but at least I don't get any hallucinations, and the dreams are never nightmares.

All in all, I can't complain, because things are going pretty well - it could definitely be a lot worse. LOL.

Thanks for asking. How are things going in your world? Much better, I hope, than it was a while ago.

Love,
Wayne

I'm Happy to hear that the med is helping with the Parkinson's symptoms and it's the pits when you have to deal with the side effects of the med. Hoping the side effects will eventually stop for you.
I'll send you some of my Lunesta to help you sleep and feel rested when you wake up in the morning!
Just kidding!
My allergist has me taking Lunesta. Actually he thinks that I have sleep apnea, but I have been reluctant so far as going into the sleep clinic to be tested. With my luck, I'd probably we wide awake the whole night while I was there. Jack has even stated that at times I wake him up at night and when he mimics what I sound like, it's hilarious!!!
On this end, I'm doing okay.
A plus was that they could not find one thing that is causing Jack's neuropathy. I was very impressed with the neurologist and he was very thorough with his testing. That's a good thing, I guess. So, we decided for Jack not to take any med for his sypmtoms. Jack is not a pill taker. Now, if it gets worse and starts to really affect his daily activities, then we may reconsider.
Ben is living with his eyesight disease and my daughter drives him to his job at the hospital and picks him up after work.
He had the opportunity to go to a research conference in Hawaii a couple weeks ago so my daughter went with him. I was so excited that she got to experience that! The conferences were all about human genetics and that's right up Ben's alley.
I am taking one day at a time concerning my son. I see things progressively getting worse and some days I don't want to be a MOM. It hurts like hell when you know you have no control over the addiction! My heart goes out to everyone that is or has dealt with a family member with addictions.
On a happy note, Jack & I are going to see the Cirque D'Or Saturday night at our Civic Center. That should be an exciting and fun evening.
Thank You for inquiring about how I'm doing.

Love
Dee~

Tex,
I hope you feel better.

Since this post was addressed to you I hadn't read it before but finally couldn't contain my curiosity. I'm glad I was a snoop. I have a chance to send you some caring and support.

I have been having very strange dreams also. I take Temazepam to sleep because my swollen gut keeps me up if I don't.

My husband got a buffalo last week. We have a big shop so he cut it up himself the next day.
I had a dream that wild hogs had surrounded the house because of the buffalo meat. We don't even have wild hogs in Montana so I don't know where the dream came from. Those wild hogs were really scary and hungry.
I had to laugh at myself the next day. (I hope I can eat buffalo)
Take care. You mean so much to so very many.

Connie,

That dream may have come from down here in Texas - we have a lot of wild hogs, here. LOL.

Buffalo should be safe for you to eat, because it's good, healthy, low-fat meat, and it doesn't get any more paleo than that.

Never hesitate to read any thread here - you never know what you might find.

Thanks, Tessa, Dee, Angy, and Connie. I appreciate your support.
