I got the flowers!

Post by Polly »

WAHOO! And are they ever bee-you-ti-ful!!! A white wicker basket full of a riot of colors. And even some sunflowers, my favorite! It is like a breath of fresh air in my bedroom, where I have spent the bulk of the past 4 days doing lots of nothing (other than finishing 2 books). I can't thank you enough - it is like a shot in the arm for me. I just look at them and smile from ear to ear. Just what the doctor needed! LOL!

Today I am trying to hobble around on a cane a bit - so much better than those !@&% crutches. And trying to flex/extend my stiff, sore knee some. Gloria, you are so right about the tenderness - I know I'll be living with it for a while. Tomorrow the stitches come out and I'll be ready to start P.T.

Thanks MUCHO for thinking of me and brightening my recovery immensely. As I always say, you are the best!

Lots of love,

Polly

Polly,

I agree that a cane is much easier to tolerate than crutches. The worst part of using a cane, though, is that it makes you feel old. I know that's how I felt, whenever I had to use one for a while. :oldmanwithcane:

It's good to hear that you're getting around better, though. Good luck with the stitch-removal session, tomorrow.

Love,
Tex

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
