I'm wondering about the Tsunami...........
I pray no one is in it's path.

Thinking about all of you.

Shirley,

I believe that all of our Aussie members live on the east coast, so they are all located in an area that might be affected - hopefully they all live inland far enough that they won't be affected directly. I believe that Liz and Robert live pretty close to the coast, though.

It's 4:15 am, on Sunday morning there, now, so it could make landfall any time, according to predictions. Hopefully, it won't be a substantial threat, based on the size of the quake in Chili. :xfingers:

tsunami warning based on the earthquake in Chile
apparantly the tide on Sunshine coast of Queensland was up 5cm.
and beaches on the gold coast were closed as safety precaution

All good here..... I am 30km from the coast.

They only started doing Tsunami alerts since the 2003 Tsunami in Thailand.

We are on Moreton Bay but there was hardly a ripple. Of course everyone went to the beach to see if they could see the tsunami. I should have charged $2 for every car that came down our street. I would be a millionare now.

Wish you could have gotten that 2 dollar fee, Liz, but also glad it was a "non starter" on the Tsunami.

i have to admit - i am bit sick of all the rain! (and i know compared to what our snow bunnies endured the rain is nothing)

the commute to work with all the excess water and crazy drivers has been full on this week.
