The Coons

Post by annie oakley »

Hello family! Being the animal lover I am, we feed all the saill critters here. I set out some suet and caked seeds for the birds. One hangs from the shed roof and one in a tree near the drive way. Mike hung the one in the tree carefully, Moved this branch and that branch so the cage like box it hung in couldn't fall out of the tree.
Two days later the coons had found a way to get it off the tree, and they had stolen the cake of seeds. :whip: NOW! I have to find a way or a better place to hang it up again. They are smart critters.
Love Oma
P.S.********This :drinkingmedicine: looks like me at work until I have at least a couple mugs of coffee! Thanks!
May I be more compassionate and loving than yeterday*and be able to spot the idiots in advance

What's a coon?

Other than a brand of cheese, of course.

It's an abbreviated form of "Raccoon".

These are very common in the southern U.S., highly intelligent, willing to live in close proximity with humans, and they can be real pests, due to their willingness to eat a wide variety of foods, and their strength, and their ingenuity in foraging for food.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
