Sorry i haven't posted in a few days. I've been sick a lot and trying to work. I have to move into my new place next week so i'm excited about that. I'm getting more and more frustrated with the people i work with. Im starting to see how they are looking down on me for being sick and it just sucks. it actually makes me very angry. I did a bake sale to raise money for the run. We raised $130! so i was pretty happy. When i asked my Gunny if he wanted one he said "no because i'm don't want to catch Crohns!" First of all i don't have crohns, good job knowing your marine. Secondly you can't catch what i have. SO i looked at him and with a straight face i said "Gunny, one of these days i'm going to kick your A**!!!!" lol i couldn't believe i said that but he just laughed. i was sure i was dead meat for saying it but i felt like he was discriminating against me so i felt lik ei was in the right to say that. How is everyone else doing?

i have had similar situation with some people at work and even with my boyfriend

they struggle to understand the situation that one day you are fine and the next day, thing go to shite (pun intended)

frequently i am asked, cant you just take medications to fix it?
even the other day my partner Hugo, said that i should find a new doctor as what is happening cant be right.
(and he constantly mentions that i am not eating 'greens' and i am going to get scurvey)

the other thing is that it is all internal. If you had a external injury and were on crutches i am sure their attitude would be different.
another aspect is you are being proactive about it - you are dealing with it, moving on, doing the fund raising.
If we sat in the corner and wallowed then maybe they would say ohh this is big

I had a friend the other day asking me some questions and she finally realised how mentally draining MC management is. She apologised for not realising what a impact tihs has had on my lifestyle and diet etc. She said you cope with it so well she didnt realise what was happening in the background

it is what it is
you are what you are

you cant help these narrow minded unsettled people..... dont let their attitude affect yours! as your attitude is fantastic!
