Obviously, such a claim is irrelevant and absurd, in the first place, but aside from that, this article explains how/why residual inflammation in IBD patients is often misdiagnosed as IBS.

As the researchers concluded:
"Bottom line, IBD is IBD unless proven otherwise!"
