Tears
We lost a very good friend, of around 40 years, last week. The obituary came out today and we were mentioned in it! How special and unexpected was that. It just started the tears all over again.

Joan,
I'm so sorry for your loss. It is so hard to deal with those unexpected tears. I'm happy that you were able to spend 40+ years with a dear friend! What a WONDERFUL thing!
I pray that special memories will cradle your heart and lessen the pain.
Love and hugs,
Mars

"Let us rise up and be thankful, for if we didn't learn a lot today, at least we learned a little, and if we didn't learn a little, at least we didn't get sick, and if we got sick, at least we didn't die; so, let us all be thankful." -- Buddha
Thanks so much, Mars.
We weren't together for many of those years because we moved away from OH. We were in touch by telephone, though. We'd stop in Columbus on our way to or from seeing my Mom in Cleveland.
We were neighbors around the time DD#2 was born. Jackie had boys the same age as my girls. All the wonderful memories are flooding back to me. Neighborhood Halloween parades, birthday parties, a fund raising carnival in our driveway and garage (I'm thinking for Jerry's kids) and much, much more.
Love,
Joan

Joan, what sweet memories. It's those precious times we have with each other that grow dearer as the years pass. You've made me think of some dear friends that I need to contact. Thank you for sharing and may you be comforted. Love JoAnn

I'm so sorry, Joan, for your loss. I've had so many in the past two years that I am truly learning that time really does lessen the pain. Never takes it away completely. It's actually helped me to be closer to God. I hope that you hold on to the wonderful memories and remain grateful for the time that you did have. Again, so sorry.

Thanks very much, Barbara, I really do. She was so special and dear to me.
I just found out that a Facebook Borzoi friend was killed in a car crash in the Czech Republic today. I didn't really know her but enjoyed the all photos she posted.
Our dog's brother, Bruiser, lives in the Czech Republic and sired a litter of 11 puppies! It's his third "wife" and he's only two.....
