Hi Barbara,
I remember you talking about using a refrigerator in your automobile when you travelled to Arizona. I'm seriously considering getting one, but I'm not sure what kind will run on automobile power. I've seen some with a regular AC/DC plug which plugs into a DC/AC outlet (available in some SUVs). Is that the type of refrigerator you used?
I'd also like one with a separate freezer door, not just a compartment inside the refrigerator section, but I'm not sure if the car battery power would be able to handle that much current.
Do you or anyone else know anything about such a refrigerator? If I'm ever going to be able to travel, I'll either have to have a refrigerator in the back of the car, or will have to tow a trailer with a kitchen in it.

You never know what you can do until you have to do it.
I looked at little refrigerators (online) to put in the car instead of a cooler. What I looked at could only take the temperature a number of degrees colder than the outside temperature. Sorry, I don't remember the number.

Gloria,
You probably need something suitable for use in a truck, or an RV, such as these:

http://www.rvstuffusa.com/refrigerator.html
The gas option that some of them list, is propane, of course.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
Thank you for the links, Tex. I forwarded them to DH so he can look at the specs. The biggest issue that I see is how much power they'll need to run. Most car dealers seem to think that the power plugs are designed to run small vacuum cleaners and air pumps.
I see that Barbara has posted a response in another thread.
Joan, let's see what Barbara reports after she talks to Louie.
