food sensitivities

Post by Gabes-Apg »

having a meeting friday afternoon with our Health and Safety Coordinator, Joanne, and one of the admin girls came around with lolllies, which i politely declined, long story short, Joanne and I started talking about MC - our meeting went from talking about health & safety audits and environmental management to food sensativities etc.

One of her friends has had 6 months of digestion issues which doctors have not been very supportive about, so i have passed on the link to this site so she can do some reading

she also mentioned this doctor here in brisbane, it takes months to get an appointment but he had great reading material and links on his web page.

http://www.drgregemerson.com.au/

his opening paragraph on the page is: -
We all need to take responsibility for our own lives, be proactive, take control of our health, focus on solutions, make a commitment to be driven by values and concentrate on improving the one thing which we have control over — ourselves
some of the articles or research on the site may be stuff we have already seen but with quite a few of us aiming for pure untainted ingredients there are some interesting articles.

it was a real highlight of my working week to find a colleague 'who thinks similar' and it was ok to be me! generally i feel a bit isolated and alienated

Hi Gabes,

Interesting man. Talk about overachievering! Maybe I should try to see him.

Know how you feel about finding colleagues interested in this stuff. There is a person where I work who has problems with gluten dairy and fructose, so we swap food suggestions etc. It is nice to feel less alone.
