vitamin d score

Post by harma »

I justed called the dr's office to find out my vitamin D score, very good the assistant told me, I have a score of 82. I don't know 82 what, be she said normal was between 20 and 160. So another thing less to worry about.

Hi Harma,

She quoted your result in International Units, (mmol/L). Here in the states, we use conventional units, (ng/mL), with a "normal" range from 30 to 100 ng/mL. Your doctor's assistant is wrong about the range. The range she gave you might be "normal", but it is below optimum. Optimum limits in International units would be 75 - 250 nmol/L, so your result is OK, but toward the low end of optimum. In conventional units, your result would be 33 ng/mL.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
