A message of thanks from my Mother

Post by natythingycolbery »

My Mum said she would do this if she was computer literate, but sadly she isn't (For some reason Computers don't work for her at all, even when tutors have told her what to do etc). But anyway she asked me to write the following to you all.

'Thank you so much for helping Katy from soon after her diagnosis with MC, I know that she was refusing to accept the illness at first (and was very reluctant to take the medication at first) but I, and her Father honestly do feel that you have all helped her to learn to not only accept this illness as part of her life but also have taught both her and us (from what she tells us, shows us on here) what to do about flare-ups, being out and about, going to the GI's etc etc. Again, thank you so very much.

And thank you for all the birthday messages (which I saw over her shoulder) You put a massive smile on her face, something that she has been lacking for a while for one reason or another.'

Bless her really (she just got my dad to email me that to put onto here for you all to see. But like she says, THANK YOU ALL!

Naty

please pass on my "your welcome" from australia

and also mention that your attitude, and your birthday age calculation theory have also bought smiles to my face, i am looking forward to my 5th birthday next month.

This site is a "unconditional pay it forward" situation and in the words of the new radicals.... you get what you give

big hugs to you and your mum (and thank your dad for being the typist)

Naty,

Please tell your mum and dad that almost all of us go through the denial stage at first, with this disease. In fact, we tend to go through the 5 stages of grief, as described by Elisabeth Kübler-Ross in her book, On Death and Dying

And, as Gabes said, please tell them that they are most welcome.

Hi Naty,

Such a nice note from your parents - thank them both from me. Also, let them know how fortunate we are to have you participate on this forum - I find you to be a breath of fresh air, as well as bright and caring. You were one of the first to greet me when I started posting. You gave me three hugs in a row with that awesome icon, which certainly put a giant smile on my face and made me feel welcome!!!

Love and hugs to the 3 of you,
Kari

Hi Naty-Katy;

We are very happy to have you with us, and please tell your Mum and Dad "You are welcome.. our pleasure!" I think it is just so neat to get to chat with, help and be helped by a lovely young woman who lives in in England! (in addition to all the other many wonderful people from around the world.) I always learn something here. Funny but I often think about the people on here throughout my day.. just yesterday I was thinking about how you call university "uni" ! :grin:
