Enterolab

Post by Kari »

Hi everyone,

Since this came up in one of Tex's posts recently, thought I'd let you know that Enterolab keeps the "samples" for 4 weeks, enabling us to order more tests within that time period if need be. They seem to be quite busy these days, as it took a day for them to get back to me. Perhaps more people are "discovering" them?

I have ordered the gluten and dairy tests for my son and will order the others if he shows positive for gluten. The cost per test is $99, so with postage and handling the total for these two tests came to $220.

Kari

P.S. There was a notice on their website that New York and Maryland do not allow individuals to order lab tests through the mail!!!!!

P. S. Lobbyists for the medical industry in those states have persuaded their state legislatures to pass such laws, in order to insure that doctors have supervisory power over any tests ordered, (read that, "so that they can get their cut of the proceeds"). This is just another example of laws claimed to protect consumers from themselves, while actually designed to protect the financial interests of special interest groups. (Yes, as you can probably gather, I'm a staunch advocate of personal freedoms).

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.

Thanks for letting us know that Kari. I do wish I had known before my 4 weeks were up... might have had eggs done too.
