Ground flax seed? Laxative?
I just tried a gf pancake mix, and was reading the ingredients, and one of the main ingredients is ground flax seed. I've always heard of flax seed being a natural laxative, is that true? I hope I just didn't sabotage myself.
From the Ameriflax website:

A. Absolutely. A natural laxative, flaxseed has a perfect balance of soluble and insoluble fiber delivering over 30% of the recommended daily fiber intake in just an ounce. Because of its pleasant, nutty flavor, flaxseed delivers its fiber with a satisfying fullness that can result in better appetite control and weight loss.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
