Happy New Year Barbara. That place does look like fun, but also nuts, I would hate to try and get out of there, you would have to park miles from there.

Have you ever gone there to watch the ball drop?

Take care

We have about another 1-1/2 hours of 2010 left here, and my kids want to stay up for it. I hate good-byes, so usually I go to bed early and wake to a whole new year full of potential, but I'll be watching the ball drop with them this year.

May 2011 be a year full of health and joy for us all!!

Happy New Year, "Sis"!

Yes, Times Square looks like mucho fun. But, is it true there are no toilets? I can't imagine a million people and no toilets. Yikes!

Love,

Polly

Could that be true? How can that be legal, in this day and age? Why would NYC be exempt from such responsibilities? A farmer can't even hire a work crew to pick apples, or cucumbers, or whatever, unless he has a certain minimum number of "proper facilities" available within a relatively short walking distance from where they are working at any given time. Not only is a toilet required, but also hand-washing facilities. Of course, that's a result of labor laws, but why should NYC not be just as responsible for people attending it's "events"?

Well I do believe that there are the out-door potties---either that or U *P* in ya pants--run into an alley to *poop* (naturally with someone covering your procedure)-- --and if not I guess NYC feels tis your problem if U come down with some ailment---

And *NO* I never did get to times square to see the ball come down---I would have luved 2 but didnt have enuf *guts* to do it----
I opened the door here--at our place--and yelled HAPPY NEW YEAR and L. dragged me back in----asking are U nutz?--I laughed and said well these peeps here should know that we are New Yorkers and when its time for a celebration we will--even with a simple yell of HAPPY NEW YEAR---

So once again---Happy New Year--healthy plus some *wealth*

much love
Barbara and mrs. columbo ----oops forgot Mr. Louie sends his best 2

Now that's absolutely priceless. I'm kinda surprised that Mr. L. wasn't out there shouting right along with you, rather than trying to be "politically correct".

Maybe they don't need porta-potties in NYC, 'cause people who live in the Big Apple are tough.

Happy New Year to all too.

I can believe there are not porta potties. The oldest "parade" in the U.S. is the Mummer's Parade that takes place in Philly and it is truly unique and draws huge crowds and there is not a porta potty anywhere and the restaurants/businesses - including Mickey D's - will not let you in to use their facilities unless you sit and eat.

Disgusting - did it once and never again. Love the parade though and was tied to the TV all of New Year's Day.

Love, Maggie
