Gluten-Free Cooking Classes
The Community Education classes offered in the evenings at the local high school include two gluten-free cooking classes in the spring. GF cooking is starting to become mainstream.

Hi Gloria,
How very encouraging - together with the Subway news, perhaps there is some traction to this trend
. I agree with Mary Beth, this is no fad - it is REAL.
Thought I'd share a story about gluten-free cookies:). Every year, my son hosts a Christmas party for friends and family - about 30 people. He always has a theme going, and this year it was a cookie baking contest. So everyone had to bring some home made cookies. There were 3 categories to be judged - taste, presentation and overall best.
My DIL's 15 year old niece had heard that my son had just stopped eating gluten, so she decided to make gluten free cookies for the contest. Well, surprise, surprise, her cookies won best taste, as well as overall best - and believe it or not, there were several finicky children involved with the judging!!!
Love,
Kari

Morning Gloria,
That is great news and hope it does become mainstream and stays that way. Noticed on the Food Channel's "Cupcake Wars" show there has been 3 different bakeries lately competing that were GF and MI bakers. One actually made runner up.
Kari - congrats to your DIL neice. Great for her.
Love, Maggie
