OT: If you're into praying.........

Post by Bifcus16 »

There are lot of folk in Queensland who could benefit from a prayer right now.

Cyclone Yasi is roughly the size of Katrina, and it is about to hit north Queensland. The loss of life shouldn't be as bad as Katrina, simply because the area is less heavily populated. But it is going to be very bad.

Lyn,

It looks like Yasi is a Category 5 according to the weather bureau there http://www.bom.gov.au/products/IDQ65002.shtml Katrina was a Cat 3 when it hit the gulf coast.

Lots of prayers going out to that already devastated area.

It's hard to believe that Australia has to endure another natural tragedy. I hope the impact isn't serious and everyone will be safe. I'll keep you in my prayers.

Certainly this is a serious situation and many prayers from here. Queensland has been through so much hardship these past couple of months. Yasi came ashore with almost 3x the energy that Katrina did.

Foxnhound, Gabes is about 800 miles south of where it is expected to make landfall

Add my prayers to all we are sending their way. They have been through way too much this year. Our weather, as bad as it is, seems insignificant.
