Thsnk you!!

Post by Sprigs »

I just want to say thank you for the responses the other day and for this website. I now have a direction to follow rather than the confusing merry-go-round I've been on. I am so grateful that this site also gave me an answer/solution to my migraine headaches.
I still have a lot of reading to do here and I'm sure I will have more questions.

For now, just THANKS for being here.

Sprigs,

Migraines were a frequent problem while I was reacting, often leading to nausea/vomiting, but since I've been in remission, (7 years now), I've only had one or two very minor headaches that were the result of bumping my head on machinery, (I really should wear a hard hat at work.). A couple of years ago, I even had a couple of auras, after foolishly eating some chips that contained MSG, but I never developed a headache, afterward, (those are called acephalgic migraines, when no headache follows). MSG, as you are probably aware, is known to cause migraines, for certain individuals.

You're most welcome,
Tex

Tex ,
In my case, I took an antihistamine and it cleared up the migraine. I just have to find out what is triggering them, well, actually, everything lately seems to trigger them. I've been reading a bit about mast cells and this all seems to fit with my symptoms.
Trying to figure out what step to take next.
Thanks for your input.

Jenny,
Thanks for the welcome. It's really nice to find a place where people understand what you are going through.

Hmmmmm. It certainly sounds as though mast cell degranulation may be causing the migraines.
