About once a week, someone posts an article about that same "discovery". The problem is, they're working on the wrong component of the immune system. Instead of trying to suppress IL-15, (to suppress killer T-cells), they need to develop a way to enhance the production of regulatory T-cells, which were developed to control the production of killer T-cells, in the first place. Why do it an artificial way?
The answer, is, "so that they can sell more drugs". This approach requires that the patient must take a drug treatment, (probably daily), in order to suppress the IL-15. So, it is definitely not a "cure", by any stretch of the imagination. As is almost always the case with research funded by Big Pharma, it is designed to "hook" a group of patients on a drug for the rest of their life.
Big Pharma is never going to fund any research that will actually provide a cure for any disease - that would be contrary to their long-term goals.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
