asacol and pills in toilet??
ok....just switched gi drs.- new doc. wants to do another stool sample, etc. (seems to be more thorough b/c more viles for the stool sample) anyway, was doing it today and saw something "red" and "hard" in it...(sorry )and realized it was the asacol pill...it was flattened but still "whole"- what the heck does that mean???? now i am getting really scared!!

It's pretty common especially in the beginning of treatment. Don't panic.

Nothing to be frightened of, it's common enough. But it does mean that you are not getting the benefit of the asacol you are taking...I would let your Dr. know this. Perhaps he can find another way for you to take it so that you are getting it.
