VSL # 3

Post by framedame »

Hi.
i met with my GI DR Wed to discuss biopsies and come up with a plan. I am on Entrocort and go back to see him in 3 months to evaluate progress. I asked him if he every used VSL # 3 and he said he had but hadn't used it on people with MC but thought it would be worth trying. The script that he wrote for me was for 2 pkgs a day. My drug plan won't pay for it unfortuneately. I was wondering if others on this forum had tried it and at what dosage - packages or cap ?--- and did it help?
Grazie,
Lassie

I used it, capsules. No, it did not work. Sorry. I wanted pills to help me and believe me I tried them all. Diet is the only thing that has helped me. You may be different than me though. I wish you the best!

My doctor wrote my prescription for 1/4 of a pack a day. I am so early in my recovery that I can't give an opinion on whether or not it is helping. I am much better, but I am also taking Entocort and have changed my diet dramatically. Wish I could be of more help! Good luck!!
