Did I just have my first Norman?!?!?

Post by Pat »

What consitutes a normal BM? I just passed 2 formed pieces about 2 inches long each. I am taking 1/2 Imodium am and pm. I could never pose this question to anyone but you all.

Pat,

Ta Daaaaa! This is wonderful news. Definitely a Norman! Anything formed, no matter how long, is a Norman in my book. Your patience and determination are beginning to pay off. Imodium really helps, doesn't it? That was my experience too. And the MRT/Leap program must be helping to calm your gut down. WAHOO!

Hugs,

Polly

Thanks, Polly!

Yes, I attribute my success to MRT and Enterolab. It took both! Of course I thank Mary Beth profusely for introducing us to MRT and for being my dietician ( I live in Texas where she lives and is licensed) and helping and supporting me. I feel like I just won an Oscar! Thank you Polly, Tex, Gloria, and on and on. I stiil have a lot of testing of the "greens" from the MRT, but now I know this is going to work!!!!!

congratulations!

it is also great news for yourself, what ever you are doing is working and there is proven benefit for the changes you made

Love a good poo story in the morning! (and yep this is definately the place that normans are celebrated)
when norman first started appearing for me i used to do a happy dance and sing 'i pooed like a normal person' a non MC person in my life was horrified at the concept that i would sing about poop!
i tried to explain that i had worked VERY hard to attain that result and nothing was going to stop me from celebrating!

Wonderful news, Pat! Congratulations! You should start seeing even bigger Normans as time progresses.

Yep, it took both for me, too. Plus a lot of detective work along the way. If we can do it, anyone can!

YEAH Pat - can't tell you how happy I am to hear that norman paid you a visit!!!!! For me, it happened on Christmas day (after close to 11 years), and I was on cloud 9 the entire day - nothing could get me down from there  . Since then, norman has not been a frequent visitor, but knowing that he is "out there" is good enough at this point in my healing process.

Congratulations and lots of luck moving forward with your "greens"!!!!!

Love,
Kari

Wow Pat - I just saw your post . . . .soooooo happy for you

Clearly your GI tract is calming down. You still have alot of testing to do and I encourage you to move forward, slowly of course. I have a feeling this is going to work too!!

Wow! Twin Normans. It doesn't get much better than that for a first time event.

Congratulations!

Yep, where else could you celebrate such a jubilant experience, with so many supporters who are just as thrilled as you are?
