Interesting. Did you know that intestinal transplants have been done for quite a few years, (using real intestines, of course)? They're not exactly commonplace, but it seems to be a fairly stable market.

No I didn't know they did transplants. It looks like there's a downward trend on the number they're doing.

I have a friend who's had several operations for Crohn's - I wonder whether this would give him heart or just make him shake his head.

there was an aussie guy with Crohns who went to the USA to have the transplant done - it was on the news about 6 months ago.
