It's a good-looking day here in Texas. Cool, (compared to the way it has been), and sunny, with a gentle breeze. Typical fall weather.

gloria-----yup--we also are luvin this weather---U C we lived smack in the heart of NooYawk--for many years---then we moved upstate a bit--still NYC but more countrified--and it is simply lovely-----xcept when U have to MOW the lawn and then rake up the fallen leaves-- :smile:

in one of our travels L. and eye stopped at a small motel----and when the gal heard our NOO YORK AXENT she got so xcited--Lou and I felt like celebrities-- :lol: and then the next morning when we were ready to sign out --she had her BOYFRIEND there just to hear our aXcent----next I was waitin to sign her autograph book---but signing the check for the room was enuf--- :smile:

Amazing how popular one becomes with this AXCENT-----I call myself up and eye dont hear any aXcent--- :shrug: ---yup I have done that :ROFL:

Yes, I've been told that I have a Chicaw-go accent. Of course, I don't think I have an accent at all. When DD was in college, one of the coeds on her dorm floor heard me and said "You must be Tara's mother," simply based on how I spoke.

I don't do the dese, dem and dose, though. That's for the pure Chicaw-goans.

your post cracked me up---cus real down deep NOO YAWKERS actually say--deese --dem and doze----actually my brother--Robert--had the heavy NY accent----mom was always shaking her head but *dats dah way all lower east siders godda spoke*

it is fun to remember---that U could be picked outta a crowd just by your diction~~~~~aintcha happy to read dis~~~~
