How do I put a photo on here? I went to the profile and uploaded photo from my machine, but it didn't seem to save it. I tried to delete the current avatar, but it also didn't seem to save for me.

I am so techno unevolved.

The system is programmed to automatically insert the default flag avatar, (based on your IP address) , in the absence of another selection. That's why you couldn't delete it.

An avatar has to meet the size limitations (in pixels), noted in the instructions in your profile where the upload option is found. If you're having problems getting it properly sized, or the system won't accept it for some other reason, just e-mail the full-size image to me, and I'll be happy to re-size it for optimal display, and upload it.

Anything or anyone who can display me optimally will receive my undying gratitude. I've aged 20 years since this started. Think of how I will look if it goes on for another 9 months or so.

You look fine, but do you want me to remove 20 years from the photo anyway?

It would be nice to photoshop it, but sort of untruthful. MC has and is taking it's toll. I started to do a bit of editing, but then thought the better of it.

Oh, there you are, Ms Resident Winner! ;-)

That wasn't a typo. You should be proud of yourself for seeking out answers. So that makes you a big WINNER in my book.

Lesley,

1. You are not a whiner. You are a strong, capable woman who has taken charge of her health and is working hard to get better.
2. You are a lovely, classic lady! I love your picture. It's good to put a face with a name.

I, for one, am still waiting for Sara's positive side effect (less gray hair) to kick in. At 40, mine would be completely white if I didn't color it. And I'm just too vain to stop. :oldmanwithcane:

 Thank you guys for your kind words. I don't feel like I am on the winning team yet!

Cynthia - I colored my hair for years. I was sure my hair, blond, would go iron grey. I decided to stop, and found the color you see. It's such a relief not to worry about it any more.

Lesley,

I hit that moment with my hair a while back (as you can tell) - I wish I cut my hair more often, but failing to color on a regular basis is just bad form. (And, glamour-wise, I have bad form.)

And at some point, I noticed that my parents had the most beautiful salt-and-pepper hair, and thinking maybe a little more salt would be just fine...
