How Food Allergies cause Lymphocytic Enteritis

The most important paper that I have read on LE/LC and it's causation by food allergies was actually written 8 years ago in Japan.

Entitled:Chronic allergy to dietary ovalbumin induces lymphocyte migration to rat small intestinal mucosa that is inhibited by MAdCAM-1 Keio University Doctors explain how rats were sensitised to chicken eggs and the protein factors that seemed to attract and fix the lymphocytes were called MadCAM1, also known as adressin I believe.

It would seem that finding a therapy to inhibit the prevalence and activity of MadCAM1 proteins would stop the lymphocytic infiltration into bowel tissues. I have noticed that Melatonin is mentioned as a good substance to affect and inhibit MadCAM1. It's a natural remedy that I will trial soon.
