It seems the collagen disease/food intolerance connection is being more widely discussed. As I suspected, bad collagen=leaky gut. Of course it makes me wonder, can the leaky gut be healed in these cases? Check out this abstract:

Well, it's possible that the leaky gut is caused by the food intolerances, rather than by the E-D syndrome itself, and in that situation, modifying the diet should resolve the leaky gut problem. It certainly seems to work for collagenous colitis.
