If you can eat corn...a tasty snack

Post by Gloria »

I suppose it's not terribly nutritious, but I'm so excited to have a snack besides corn chips that I can eat!

It's popped corn - corn that is flattened, then baked. They put a small amount of salt and sugar on it. It tastes like the rosettes I used to make years ago, but these are less oily. I've gone through a bag in two days.

I've found two brands:

Olde Cape Cod makes Popped Crisps. Ingredients are yellow corn, sunflower oil, confectioners powdered sugar and sea salt.

POPCORNERS has a flavor called Kettle. Ingredients are enriched yellow corn, sunflower oil, sugar, sea salt.

Thankfully, my flare seems to have died down. I hope it lasts a while. I've stopped taking all antihistamines and L-glutamine. I think the Imodium I took Saturday helped.

Well that's definitely good news. Maybe the Corn Crisps are therapeutic.

Thanks for the tip. I haven't seen anything like that around here, yet, but I'll keep my eyes open.

Yum! Sounds delicious! Going to look for them tomorrow! Thanks! And who the heck cares if they are or are not nutritious?! Satisfaction and enjoyment far outweigh nutrition when it comes to finding something that you love and won't make you feel sick! Go Gloria!

Sounds like a great snack Gloria. Will be on the hunt for them in our area since I have not seen them yet.

Love, Maggie

Gloria these sound great. I'm getting over a mild flare but after this settles down, I am going to try these, I'm pretty sure I saw them at my local market

You can order Cornpoppers from Amazon in small bags. I think it was 40 snack size bags for around $22

I found both brands and picked them up. So far I've eaten one bag. Good to have something to munch on.
