Another Expert Displays Her Ignorance Of Health Trends

Post by tex »

Hi All,

Another so-called "expert" has gone on record as predicting the eminent crash of the gluten-free trend.
“This gluten free trend does not have long term legs,” she said. “And the reason for this is twofold.”
She probably thinks that another "expert" who predicted a crash a couple of years ago was just too early with her prediction.
Two years ago, trends expert Suzy Badaracco, president of Culinary Tides, said that the gluten free market was poised to fall like “a house of cards”.
Instead, the market has grown by leaps and bounds, in the two years since then. So much for "expert" opinion. Clearly, these "experts" don't realize that people are desperately searching for some real answers to their increasing health problems, and they're tired of being deceived by the same old song and dance routine from all the "experts" who are promoting a misguided agenda.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.

Friends of mine told me they had started buying some gluten-free products. They thought it was a healthier option to buy. These were not gluten intolerant folk. I told them not to waste their money that it would be better if they bought organic, non-processed foods with their money. But for us gluten-intolerant folk, this is not a fad and our use of these products won't fade away. We are happy and grateful to see more products on the shelves that we can try. The "proof is in the pudding"; when I eat gluten I get sick. I think the reality is that we are going to see more and more people come down with what we have. Guts are not getting better in this processed-food world. We need to make sure our youth are educated to take good care of their innards. :ChefStirringPot:
