I had to have the implant out, and the dentist gave me a prescription for amoxycillin. Is that one of the antibiotics we can take?
Given my reaction the endoscopy meds, I will probably react to the anesthetic he gave me this morning. I already feel horrible. I am now hurting like mad.

That question comes up somewhat regularly. The thread at the following link is probably from the last time it came up. Note that Gabes had some suggestions in the last post in the thread, from her own experiences.
If you take the one your doctor prescribed, be sure to take a probiotic, because C. diff is a definite risk.

I know it has. Thanks for finding it for me. The pain is awful, though he said it shouldn't be. This worries me. I think there is a lot of infection and I need to take the antibiotics. I always get infected, and do it better than anyone else. Ever since childhood. Why? I have no clue!
The bloody surgeon did 3 minutes work and charged me a WHOPPING $375. I am not going back there. He wants to see me next week. I don't think so. He wants to do implants for me. Again, I don't think so.

Culturelle should be OK. You probably don't need to begin taking it until the last day that you take the antibiotic, because the antibiotic will wipe them out, anyway, as long as you're taking it.

You can take the probiotics along with the antibiotics if you take them at least 2 hours before or after the antibiotics, Lesley, it's what I've always done and it doesn't damage the effect of either. It just seems to never end for you, Lesley, I'm so sorry and understand why you are scared.
I'm still a believer that MAP is a player in this for many of us and it's why we get so many weird infections and may be why we ended up with MC in the first place. The bacteria is almost impossible to find using standard blood tests.

I've always taken the probiotic along with the antibiotic in the same manner that Connie mentioned. Dunno if it helps, but I've never gotten C-diff (that I know of).
I hope the pain goes away soon. Nothing worse than a toothache or earache. They're both too close to the brain.

You never know what you can do until you have to do it.

I took a Norco, which helped the pain, but I HATE the drugged feeling it gives. The brain fog from the MC is bad enough, but the Norco fog is unbearable. I can't believe that people actually like it!
