In case anyone is interested, my antibody blood work came back . I am definitely IgA deficient ( none) and am also low on two classes of IgG. My cortisol level is fine. For those of you who are unaware, two of the symptoms of having this is GI problems and autoimmune diseases. I actually have an appointment with an immunologist today. I'll let you know if anything interesting comes up.
PS Still struggling with the latest flare :(

Thanks Zizzle. I went and saw an immunologist today. They are testing to see what kind of response I DO HAVE by testing my blood now as a baseline. Then I got a pneumonia vaccine. In six weeks I have my blood drawn again. I guess they can tell how I respond to the vaccine. The doc seems to think it will be fine since I rarely get colds, flu, or upper respiratory infections. SOMETHING MUST BE WORKING RIGHT. I hope so. I get kind of down thinking that I could get sicker if my levels keep going down. I'm also low in IgE- which is what they look for to determine allergies. It's so frustrating since I have always taken good care of myself. I'm sure you all know how that feels. Maybe I'm just feeling more depressed right now because I am in an MC flare.
Anyway, thanks for your sympathy :)

Amen, sister. It always kills me to know so many people who eat garbage and take poor care of themselves, and they stay healthy. I had a ridiculously healthy diet growing up compared to most people, and I rarely took meds for anything. Why the hell did I get MC??Leah wrote: It's so frustrating since I have always taken good care of myself. I'm sure you all know how that feels.
