At least my boys are on the same schedule, so they ride their bikes home together after school - not so much dependent on me for pick-up etc....I walk with them in the mornings, for the exercise, and to be sure everyone makes it to school safely etc....I feel so fortunate - we have a park/greenbelt that leads to the backside of the school so they aren't in and around any traffic....
My tutoring is *booming* (good for the bank account, tough on my regular schedule!)- I have 2 regular clients who are proving very "needy" so far. One is making the transition to middle school and is struggling with the organization and responsibility that is required.... she also has attention/focus issues so it is a big job to keep her on track! My other client is starting her junior year in HS - a heavy workload and challenging classes - she'll need extra support due to learning issues - she already had to drop chemistry as she felt really overwhelmed! I've worked with her for almost 5 years now, and she asked me to be her Confirmation sponsor this year - I was touched and very honored!
I've been fighting a cold the past few days (who has time to be sick?) but I think I'm losing....tonight may be a rent-a-movie and curl up on the couch night!! The oldest has a sleepover so here's to a peaceful evening
I've only been able to check in briefly - and I posted once - but then the board went down for maintenance and *POOF*. Belated birthday wishes to everyone celebrating, special healing wishes for Pegster
I'll check in later -
Love,
Mary
