I do want to say that I think it is pretty great you guys are so ready to give out advice and are always around to help everyone. I get on here sometimes and I get depressed about the journey's that I read about...although I have been trying to pay more attention to the glimpses of hope and I realize that each journey is our own.
My question - I have been on Entocort on the following regime : 2 months at 9 mg and reduced to 6 mg without too much trouble for 1 month. If anything I have had more days without any BM on 6 mg than when I was on the 9 mg. I have had two time frames where I went 2-3 days followed with random movements that ranged from fluffy to almost normal. I think it is time to start to taper again... I think leah wrote to really watch that next taper so I was thinking to taper every four or three days? Is that too slow. We have several weekend vacations this month and I don't want to ruin anymore family outings. I am watching what I eat but I don't know how perfect since my family still is eating gluten - I have been avoiding Soy, Eggs (except baked in a muffin sometimes), and Most dairy excluding a homemade Kefir in a shake. I used gelatin as a protein in my shake in the morning. I have been eating corn products. I also started taking Claratin based on some posts. I am trying acupuncture as well. I am afraid of moving too fast..
Entocort Reduction...

Hi Thumbs.
I hate having C, so as soon as I skipped a day , I started tapering down. You are probably doing better on 6 mg. simply because you have taken some of the offending foods out and you are healing. Good news :) When i went from 6mg. to 3, i did it every other day for a couple of weeks. When you are down to one pill a day is when you can usually get a better idea of what you still may be eating that is bothering you.
I know what you mean about family outings and vacations. There is no "too slow" really when it comes to tapering, but you don't want to be uncomfortable either. having C for me is very uncomfortable. Nor do you want to be taking more meds then you need.
Good luck and keep up the good work
