Are there LC folks out there who have great difficulty with soy who can easily tolerate other legumes? If so, when the "great flood" of LC came upon you were you initially intolerant of all legumes but eventually able to add some back but not soy?

I've learned from my daughter's legume allergy that not all legumes are closely related. For example, she is most allergic to soy, followed by peanuts, black-eyed peas, lima beans, lentils, peas and chickpeas. We were told she might be able to tolerate red kidney beans and black beans, because they are more distant relatives, but we haven't really tried, other than traces. I seem to tolerate red and black beans with no issues, but all legumes come with lectins, which aggravate our leaky gut issues. I have read in some Paleo circles that green beans are not considered "illegal" legumes, because they are not dried.
Also, the way you prepare beans is of great importance for helping minimize the effect of lectins. In Latin America, dried beans are always soaked overnight and the water discarded before cooking. I'm not sure what canning does to the lectins, and who knows how restaurants prep their beans before cooking. Not worth it to me anymore, I avoid all beans.
