Micro-nutrient Testing

Post by crervin »

Hi all,

It will be 5 years in the summer since I started my diet. I have been wanting to test to see where my diet is lacking in terms of vitamins and minerals. I cannot find many reviews about the micro-nutrient testing. Does anyone have any thoughts or suggestions? I really don't want to involve a doctor.

I am still struggling with histamine/gut issues. I really want to see what my copper level is to see if this may be part of my increasing problem with histamine intolerance. Sadly, I am still unable to take many supplements and don't see being able to in the future. I think pinpointing one that my diet is lacking would really be beneficial. Taking zyrtec daily helps me to live a somewhat normal life, but I don't want to be dependent on it.

Thank you all so much for your help!
Martha E.

AnyLabTestNow (walk-in lab) lists a couple of micronutrient panels. Scroll way down to the Wellness Panels listed at the link below:

https://go.anylabtestnow.com/austin-buy ... gI15PD_BwE

That listing is probably for Austin,TX labs, but the tests offered are probably the same everywhere. I've never used these labs, so I have no idea how accurate the tests might be.

I still have to watch my histamine intake levels like a hawk to make sure that I don't exceed my tolerance levels.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.

thank you Tex, I found one not too far from me! We have accumulated some money in our Health Savings Account, so I think I am going to get this done.

I can always tell when I start itching that my gut will soon react. This winter has been very mild so I haven't gotten any allergy relief like I usually do. My mom's daisies are starting to bloom. I dread the spring. I keep telling myself to get back on my stricter diet.
