Hello,
I was diagnosed with MC at age 50. At age 60 I did the Cologuard stool test to check for cancer. I finally did my next colonoscopy at age 63. I told the gastroenterologists to take a lot of biopsies for MC.
The Gastro did numerous biopsies for MC. All were negative for MC. He did note that I had "a longitudinal scar tissue throughout the entire colon. The scar tissue was of healthy appearance." My colon must have been really inflamed at age 50 with active MC. I guess MC is not so "microscopic".
I'll never knowingly eat gluten. I'm very sensitive to chemicals and ingredients in foods and supplements and try to eat simply.
I get monitored for something called MGUS once a year by a hematologist/cancer doc. The Hematologists are always amazed that I have MC and am not on drugs and that I stay in remission from diet alone.

Thanks for the update.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
