My name is Lorraine Elizabeth but I have never been called Lorraine, except by official people because that is on all official documents. Mum wanted to call me Lorraine but she was out voted by my father's family because his sister & mother were Elizabeth. Funny thing my grandparents were Robert & Elizabeth & there are about 8 Roberts in my family (Brother,cousins & all) I answer to Liz, Beth & some family members call me Betty (Uncle used to call me Betty Blue Bottom when I was small, no idea why) But Robert has never called me anything but Elizabeth & I have never called him anything but Robert. His mother did not believe in shortening names I worked at a Church of England Children's home befor I was married & the nun in charge of the toddlers section where I worked was a Royalist & would not allow anyone to shorten my name. Even the cat was called Alexander after Princess Alexandra

tell ya Lorraine Lizzie----this is too weird----one of my very dearest friends @ home is LORRAINE!!!! She and her hubby are the couple that we did all the cruising with----

and I have a set of twin cousins--boys---and one is named Robert also--the other is Peter---
Gracious!!! and Lorraines hubby is Peter!!!

I was going to name Debbie, Christine, naturally we didnt but the weirdest thing is,that when she made her confirmation she took Christine as her second name----
