The Irwin sadness

We watched it on TV this morning----and I know I was angry when he held his wee baby over the crock, but I am so sad for the way he died and for his family--
We always watched his shows too---and they were wonderful--
From what they were saying---he evidently startled the *ray* when he came on top of it and thats when the ray protection device went up--

As all have said he died doing what he luved --

And I heard they are planning a STATE FUNERAL--in tribute to him---
Now that does say alot about him----

I had added to JJ----that Lou was also a diver and the beauty of the ocean ground--the coral and the sting rays--including all other species--always put a glow on his face--
After a dive he would talk on and on about the beauty down below--

I cannot understand the feeling but when a diver talks about these things ,one tries to visualize the beauty that is spoken of---

Hi Barb
It is a tragedy for his young family. He was actually doing something for his daughter Bindi's 'Discovery' channel program when it happened. Almost unbelievable that he should have such an accident but he lived with danger all the time. The chances of being hit in the chest like that is pretty remote I believe. There are many people, especially children, gathering at Australia Zoo, laying floral tributes etc. I did not realise that he was as involved as he was in conservation.

Yes, and we did see that he was doing this for his daughter--and as reported it was a tragic accident---

The news reported that he know doubt spooked the *ray*---thus the *rays* protection ----

Anyway U look @ it---it is very sad---

How are U feeling today???

I still havent started to pack--so the rest of the week will be havoc--I am a bad packer---throw it in---throw it out-

And tomorrow I am going to give yoga a try---havent been there for a few weeks---so I am sure I will be groaning when I get home---

It is so sad! He was such a neat guy. He was really into convservation and had full intention of passing it on to his kids so they could take over some day.

I loved that he was so passionate and funny. His wife is from my state of Oregon.
