UPDATE--on Mr. Louie!!!!!NOT the STONE!!!

Good day all---
Well @ 3 a.m. this morning-----I was wakened---with Lou saying to me --!!!!dont get Xcited but I think I have to call 911~~~~!!!!

So we did---and of course---2 cops cars---paramedics and off we went--

Appears he MIGHT have had another TIA but this time in the left eye--
In 99 had a TIA in the right eye~~~~~~~~
He was up reading-----and then he couldnt see out of the left eye--
Took a few minutes-- and then sight came back~~~~~

All testing was done---found *ZIP* so after a few hours--sent him home--Naturally OPTOM. doing surgery---but will see Lou @ 4PM this afternoon-

He has been complaining of *something funny* in that left eye but we just attributed it to his cataract surgery!!! :shrug:

But U had to see me---grabbed a bag---took a book---a Banana--some soy crisps --- :lol: :lol: ---along with a drink---CALM as the day is long????

Put the alarm on---forgot to LOCK the front door!!!! :scared:

Cant say we dont have DULL lives~~~~ :comfort:

Now I am the doing the annoying :glassesclean: thing~~~~~

In my *feelings* I think maybe a tear in the retina???

Barb,

Thinking of you. Since TIA checked out negative, that was my first thought too...retina. I've known several who have had detatched retinas and while troublesome and needing care, they've all come out fine in the end. I'm sure Optom. will get right to the bottom of it.

I feel we are so well covered with all the Dr.s that we have----Very fortunate---

They all *report* to our GP. when issues have been done or are about to be taken care of--

Cant complain about that--- :smile:

Hi Barb.....You sound Like me, when medical emergencies occur I am calm like that....When My daughter had her train accident I was calm like that......Is Mr L Ok? And what is a TIA? :shrug:

Hi Oma,

A TIA is sort of a "mini-stroke" that produces stroke-like symptoms but no lasting damage. The letters "TIA" stand for Transient Ischemic Attack.
