Robert & I have been married 47 years today. Just 3 more years & I expect to get a gold medal, although I am still waiting for the silver one.
Really though, he is a pretty good bloke. We are going to drive down to Brisbane & go up & down the river on the City Cat.
We have been meaning to do it for some time & today is the day. Will stop & have lunch somewhere at South Bank I think. Should be a nice relaxed day.

"Let us rise up and be thankful, for if we didn't learn a lot today, at least we learned a little, and if we didn't learn a little, at least we didn't get sick, and if we got sick, at least we didn't die; so, let us all be thankful." -- Buddha
It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
Thank you so much for your good wishes. We had a very nice day. A a bit hot but you get that at this time of year in Queensland. Maybe we should have taken our togs as there is a man made beach right in the middle of the city at South Bank. There were lots of people having a swim.
We have just gotten home again, tired but happy. It was not a very glamorous day but one that was very enjoyable for us both.
The City Cat was fun too. They are very popular & people can travel up & down the river very cheaply. It only cost us $2 each to do the complete run, about 2 hours cruising & they are very fast. We went down the river first from where we left our car & back to South Bank. After lunch we boarded again to go back to our car. Great. There are ten of them going all the time so there is never very long to wait.
Kathy, you can click on the links on 'virtual toourist' web page & you will find a lot of info & photos on Brisbane & surrounds. Good for anyone planning to visit here or even just to see what our sub-tropical capital is like. The South Bank parklands were developed on the site after Expo in 1988. It provides a wonderful oasis in the heart of the city & thousands of people take advantage of it, especially weekends & holidays. The city cats are usually loaded dropping off & collecting people all day & into the night at times. It is a great asset for the city. I unfortunately forgot to take my camera with me yesterday & only had the one in my little personal computer. The photos that I posted of the pool were taken with that but they did not come out too bad.
