Hi All

Thought that I would do one post to cover a few things that I have missed out on.
Have not been around much lately. Had awful problems with the new meds. Am now off them on GP's advice. Have to restup a bit & then go back on one of the old meds that was replaced by the Crestor. Still not feeling marvelous but much better thank goodness. Did all sorts of funny things while on the new stuff, even went down to the club coach wearing a bowls shoe on one foot & a Reebok on the other. They were both white but entirely different. Seeing the doc again next Wednesday. Want to go to the Craft Show in Brisbane tomorrow but will have to see how I feel.

Barb, What was the 'Spit Test' What were you looking for???

Wendy, You may feel better after you get your CPAP machine. I have used one for about 3/4 years noe. Also have a humidifier hooked up to it as the air dried my nose out too much, especially in winter & I would finish up with nose bleeds.

Carol, hope that both Harry's & your problems are sorted out soon. You have both had a pretty torrid time of it.

Jill, So sorry about your job problems. Hope something can be worked out for you soon.

Good luck with your surgery Mary. Hope everything goes well for you. Have a great time in Las Vegas. Cirque de Soleil is wonderful & I am sure you will enjoy it. I may not be young or handsome but I would be happy to carry your bags if it meant a nice holiday like that.

Oma, Glad that you were not involved in or injured by the tornado. You must have been relieved after seeing the warning ectc.

Mars, hope you get good results from your colonoscopy. Hate that prep.

Im sorry U didnt fare too well on the meds----

Well it was posted here that a good way to detect if one has a yeast--fungus---thrush---U waken in the A.M.---and get up a *spit*---eating nor drinking anything-----and then into a glass of water U *gurgle-up** and spit into the glass--- Now if ya *spit* doesnt sink---or cloud the water ---BUT stays as a whole unit on TOP of the water U dont have any of the above---which I think they all the mean the same but if found in different areas they renamed---- -

U see I had a fungus on my tongue--which also traveled down my throat---from all the meds--back in 04--
My GP gave me SWISH and SWALLOW----which made me say *HUH* swish and swallow that muck!!!
It took care of the issue~~~

So I was just testing---Like I have nothing better to do!!!!

Hope U get to feeling better and tomorrow---which is already your tomorrow--- ---we have our first child sitting for the night---Well @ least Lynn gave us a month---Kait will be here with us----I will have to post this issue----cus it is getting no better----and I dont want anyone to think me a *horror*

So the *old feelings* are being stirred up again----and we back to the same crap-----I sorta felt that being I am feeling so crappy---we wouldnt be asked but her pathetic coniving voice---got to U know WHO---and the SONG DOESNT CHANGE!!!

I guess our chat @ Dr, Lois didnt make a dent in the other halfs feelings--
Kait is going to visit Deb---and we are paying for the ticket----

I must really look---sound and act stupid to daughter #2--
I thought maybe L and I were coming to the same side of the fense but I guess it was all a day-dream!!

Hi Liz,

It is so good hearing from you! You haven`t been around much lately and I can see why. Very glad to hear you are feeling better. Enjoy your visit to Brisbane. Wish I were there to go with you. One of the three places in the world I have always wanted to see is Australia. Maybe someday.

Hi Liz, great to hear from you. I'm sorry you've been having so much trouble as well with meds and doctors, and all that. I think I've gone out with 2 different shoes on as well--not to worry--maybe it will be the next fashion statement!

I'm curious about your experience with the sleep machine--was it hard to get used to? Did it help? How long before you noticed any results?

I'm not terribly excited about the prospect of wearing it, but if it helps, I guess I'm at the point where I'll do just about anything. I'm like a walking zombie! I was very surprised at the results of the test that said that I have relatively little in the way of sleep apnea (twice as many incidents when on my back), but that they didn't observe any REM sleep at all--none! Apparently it's indicative of "upper airway resistance syndrome", whatever that is. I guess we try the machine at first and then go from there.

Sorry you had such a bad time with the Crestor. Meds can get pretty nasty, when they don't suit us. I hope you can find a replacement that works right.

Feeling much better now, although I decided to give the craft show a miss today & see how I feel tomorrow, the last day.

I reacted to both of the new meds. My GP suggested that I stop taking each one seperately for a few day to sort out which one was causing the problems & this was the result.

When taking Vascardol & Crestor

Dizzy
Head feels hot & sort of pulsing sensation at times
Headache
Hands swelling up, especially in morning on wakening – feel sore & puffy
Light-headed & spacey feeling
Bowel problems worse
Really tired all the time, even in morning. Sleep couple of hours each afternoon
Head & nose feels stuffed up, blowing does not help, maybe sinus?
Mouth very sore - dry - had couple of little sore spots inside lips & on tongue
Tingling sensation in lips????

When taking Vascardol only – 3 days

Will know a bit more when I see doc on Wednesday.

Going to give the spit test a try, sounds like fun Barb. What a way to start the day.
