My eyes are acting up AGAIN - had to make an emergency appointment on Wednesday. My eyes were turning a nice shade of yellow - scared me since my mom had jaundice quite bad when she was sick. Seems my eyes are both infected AGAIN. I'm on Z-Pac and an antibiotic eye drop. I also have a Chalazion which is an infection of a meibomian gland located on the eyelid. Mine is inside the eye and looks somewhat like a stye. The doc says my chemistry is why I get them. LOL
I am scheduled for a tuck of my right upper and lower lid on May 21st! YIKE. I will have the surgery on Wednesday and be off of work until the followig Monday. I have to have the antestesia (sp) and IV and the whole works. He said that since my job doesn't include lifting and that I work in a clean environment, I can return then. He also said I'll have a nice pretty black eye though! Oh well, who am I trying to impress????
Remember me telling you that our agency was applying for the county designation for the Community Action agency????? Well, drum roll please................... WE GOT IT!!!!! Along with it came a promotion and a salary adjustment equaling about 6 grand, effective April 1!!!!!!!!!!!
Since receiving the designation - the official public notification is in the draft stage as of today but should be done by Monday - our agency has EXPLODED!!!!!!!!! There are phone calls asking us to collaborate with them bringing grants and experience and of course, money!!!!! It is sooooooo exciting to finally see our hard work pay off! We are over the moon!!!!!
Trisha and the family are well. Eddie is in Afghanistan - please keep them in your prayers. Baby Eddie is growing so big and he is such a happy baby.
Bryce is getting straight A's in class (1st grade) and has been in 3 schools this year alone, due to military moving. He is reading at 2nd grade level and can do a lot of his multipication tables in his head!!!!!!!!!! He is such an awesome kid.
Nichole and Jordan are just the same - they never change - Mother Mouth and Daughter Mouth!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Larry is fine - working hard and trying to keep up with his dad and g'ma who is in a nursing home about 40 miles from us. He promised her that when she went, he would come visit her every other week. He has kept his word, all but the week we had 12 inches of snow! Good man, huh?
I guess that is all. Oh no - going on a diet to loose weight beginning today! Bought "good for us" food at the store = man that costs twice as much as junk food!!! Larry and I have really packed on the pounds this winter - THAT HAS GOT TO GO!!!! LOL
Guess that's about enough - oh - here is baby Eddie...........

BTW - Colitis is doing fine - only acts up when I eat my trigger foods. Feeling pretty good these days except for the eyes. It helps that Spring is here!!!!
Love to all,
Mars
